As someone that is unfortunately privy to the “locker room talk” you are absolutely right. I think I made friends with someone and then they say the absolutely most horrendous things because they feel comfortable enough to go mask off.
I’m able to sus out the really heinous people ahead of time, but I keep making the same mistake of mocking vaccine conspiracy theorists to people who end up being vaccine conspiracy theorists when I’m first getting to know them. 🤣
