FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said on Fox News Thursday morning that he is certain Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, died by suicide while in federal custody — and there is video that supports it.

“There is nothing in the file at this point on the Epstein case — and there is going to be a disclosure on this coming shortly… there is video. That is something the public does not know,” Bongino said in an interview on Fox & Friends.

Bongino clarified that the video in question does not show the “actual act” but proves that Epstein was the only person who came in or out of his cell on the night he died, on August 10, 2019.

Very convenient that it’s revealed so long after he was killed.

Very convenient he dies in the end of Trump presidency 1, followed by four years of nothing, Trump gets reelected and suddenly there’s evidence he killed himself.

@ArchmageAzor Not everything you don’t fully and completely understand is a conspiracy. I know it’s exciting to imagine that, but most stuff is just ordinary human stupidity.

@SoftestSapphic I’m aware. I get why people think that, but like nearly all such ‘theories’, it relies pretty much entirely on conjecture and what ‘feels right’, with little or no evidence.

I come from a family of scientists and academics, and my forensics are much stricter – and real life and history bear that out. Occam was right. What requires the fewest and least extravagant assumptions is most likely to be correct, no matter how unsexy or disappointing.

Conspiracy is just a group of people planning to do something. Most things don’t happen purely by chance. I find the specific topic of Epstein’s suicide largely irrelevant. He was a well known inmate to the public and had a lot of enemies. He should have been under constant surveillance. If he did actually kill himself, it would have happened while the guards were watching and could have stopped him. Either way, the prison is responsible for his death.
