If games are expected to stay on Xbox Game Pass for one year only (not including first-party Xbox studio games), so why were certain Ubisoft games on Game pass present there for more than one year?

I’m curious what you’re talking about, because I’ve never read nor heard about a hard limit being imposed.

Many of the games on there have been since the beginning. There’s no one year rule.

I think you’ve misinterpreted it, all I can find about “1 year” relates to them committing to leave games on there for AT LEAST a year, not limiting it to 1 year

i can find some references to “at least 1 year” but absolutely nothing for “only 1 year”

Because it’s the only way anyone would play them so of course Ubi took whatever fat check Microsoft and PlayStation gave them in exchange for a huge chunk of their older titles to be on GamePass and PS+.
