It would seem to work for about two minutes when turned on and then would suddenly turn off and you can hear the read write head abruptly returning to the home position.

I realize the designations for these generations are somewhat arbitrary but interesting which ages are considered which generations according to whichever source. Like before this I never knew there were two generations of boomers.
