  • Insect farming is still worse in terms of Greenhouse gases than just eating the plants directly. While it is more efficient than traditional farming it also isn’t necessary for a healthy diet. I haven’t found a reliable study that examines how many tons of greenhouse gases could be saved by switching to an insect diet but I think it’s best to just directly switch to a plant based diet. Just as a remain reminder: 14 % of global greenhouse gases are produced by meat production according to a UN study.

  • ‘It’s raining’ must refer to the same it as the one in ‘it rains’. From that we can gather that the entity referred by ‘it’ must be quite capable as it can do the raining as well as be raining. However ‘It’s cold outside’ could refer to the air as in the air is cold outside. Similarly the ‘it’ in ‘it is the case’ needs some context in a prior sentence or something else in the real world otherwise the sentence doesn’t make sense.

  • I come from Germany. Many people here say they are ‘Berliner’ or ‘Bavarians’. With you having a background in three of the largest country’s in the world do you ever call yourself something similar like Shenyang-Baical-Philadelphian? (sorry for my limited geography knowledge. I only want to give an example for what the structure might look like) Or do you know people who would? With country’s that big I could imagine that the connection to the region is much stronger than that to the country since I’d imagine the greater the distance between people the differences.
