You compared smartphones to previous tech such as Walkmans, and I explained how they’re nowhere near the same in the extreme case (unsupervised access). No school is gonna confiscate the phones as long as the kids listen. And the kids need to learn to listen to parents and teachers. Discipline is sorely missing in the new generation. Look at that series “adolescence “ to see the real effects of giving kids a smartphone.
And jamming is expensive and ineffective (you’ll end up jamming nearby devices not on school property too).
Yeah I think the adverse effect of handing an iPhone to a 10 year old in Atlanta, when that teen is still highly impressionable unrestricted and unsupervised access to the internet is far worse than handing a kid a Gameboy on which they can only game, or a Walkman on which the worst thing they can do is listen to Cardi B.
Yeah I’m a bit tired of bought out politicians dismantling a country from the inside.
Probably the biggest loophole that HAS to be fixed!
Eh, it’s over a billion people. Most people (who don’t live in cities) don’t know about Trump other than the fact that he’s the president. Even those who have internet aren’t going to see US news cuz their feeds aren’t curated for that.
Sell it to Canonical
Spinning off AOSP into something like Mozilla would massively boost its appeal. I myself left android cuz of privacy issues (no I can’t use GrapheneOS, I need access to my banking apps).
Exactly, even minus the Nazi thing they are terrible products. And they’ve been terrible for a while. The only good things were the first mover advantage, battery tech and supercharger network.
Meanwhile the competitors like BYD have caught up.
You can also use ChatGPT without login.
Hehe that’s a pretty cool meme
The Donald has Hitler levels of luck in that regard.
Yeah HP’s recent elite book is unfortunately popular with businesses. My office got them when we were about to be issued. Everyone complained, so they decided to move back to Dell for standard issue. Unfortunately I’m stuck with HP for next few years.
Number of reasons. Works well with Apple products, long battery life, way more powerful for most normal (sometimes applies to even some basic UI devs and small project video editing). It’s got great hardware. However Apple is a nightmare capitalist company that’ll try to dime and nickel you for every possible thing.
Likely he took implants but never really worked for them. Just a conjecture.
Canada is still well protected, unlike rest of Europe which has a land border with Russia. Post Ukraine, it’s the turn of ex Soviet states (i.e. Lithuania, etc) to start googling where to move?

Imagine a scenario where a bunch of these are used as a server and to power cycle all of them need to turned off.
I mean he’s legally obligated to, not really a choice. He can say screw it, but then he opens himself up to legal troubles.
I’ll be downvoted to hell for saying this. But in this event I think it’s better for you to upgrade to Win 11 or maybe even move to MacOS (mac mini is pretty cheap), though I don’t know if you’ll find your replacement apps.
I use Win for work (no choice there) and Ubuntu at home (just browse the net, and only browser applications).
I’ve said this before and will say it again. The only tech companies that should be allowed to buy Chrome are Canonical and its equivalents.
